Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan , DDS, HBSc
With 24 years of dental experience, Dr. Ramlaggan is well versed in all aspects of dentistry and goes well above requirements for continuing education each year. His areas of interest and expertise include Invisalign using accelerated devices to cut treatment time in half, clear and regular braces including non-surgical (no teeth removal necessary) orthodontic treatments, cosmetic treatment including crowns and veneers, TMD (jaw disorder) treatments, sleep apnea and snoring appliances, gum surgeries, fully impacted wisdom teeth removals, and root canal treatments and re-treatments. Dr. Ramlaggan has been using Twilight Dentistry (medicated relaxed dentistry) for over 12 years now to help his apprehensive patients.
Dr. Ramlaggan is also experienced in and is known for his full mouth reconstructions for severely damaged teeth and jaws and in creating functional, aesthetic smiles!

Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995 from the State University of New York, School of Dental Medicine, a top 6 U.S. Dental School. He completed his Specialist Honours B.Sc. undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in Microbiology and Human Biology.
Accepted into several residency programmes in the U.S. and graduating in the only year qualified to practise in 25 states, Dr. Ramlaggan chose to return to his Southern Ontario community to complete a one-year Special Care Dentistry programme. During this time, he had the opportunity to care for a variety of patients, including those with disabilities. He served in Northern Ontario communities’ special care facilities, Mount Sinai, TGH, and Sick Kid’s hospitals and at the University of Toronto dental school. He has lectured to dentists on Smoking Cessation and Dental Lasers.
Dr. Ramlaggan believes we have a duty to support our local and worldwide communities through donations and volunteering.
Originally from Niagara Falls, Dr. Ramlaggan has spent most of his adult life in Toronto area. He is happily married and enjoys spending time with his wife and three amazing children. In his free time, he practises Iyengar Yoga, reads, loves all things Sci-Fi, barbecuing, movies and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Ron Zohar, DMD, PhD, FRCD (C)
Dr. Ron Zohar obtained his Bachelor in Medical Science from the Faculty of Medicine, Ben Gurion University, Israel. He completed his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree in 1987 from Tel-Aviv University where he joined the teaching staff of the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry shortly after his graduation.
Dr. Zohar started his post-graduate training in Periodontology at Tel-Aviv University and went to the University of Toronto in 1994 to take part in a PhD/Clinical periodontology program, in which he completed in 1998. In 2000, he joined the fellowship of the Royal College of Dentists of Canadian Periodontology.
Dr. Zohar returned to Toronto in 2002 to take on a full time role at the University of Toronto where he was active in clinical training as well as building a clinically translational research. He also served as an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Periodontics. Dr. Zohar’s clinical work is focused on Regenerative Periodontology and Implant therapy.
Dr. Joanna Man, DDS., BMSc
Dr. Joanna Man received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honours at the University of Toronto, after graduating from Western University with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc). After graduation, Dr. Man worked under Maine Medical Center and Tufts University as an Advanced Education in General Dentistry resident for public health clinics, serving low-income and special needs populations.
Dr. Man is excited to return to Toronto, where she can continue to give care here at Midtown Dental.
In her spare time, Dr. Man loves to sing and cook. With the belief that music and food are the two most universal languages, she loves to share joyous moments with her loved ones, one song, or bite, at a time.
