Certified Specialist in Periodontics and Implant Surgery

Dr. Sepehr Torabi is a certified specialist in Periodontics with over 10 years of experience delivering advanced periodontal and implant care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction from the National University of Iran in 2012, followed by specialty training in Periodontics and a Master of Science from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2016.

In 2023, he became the only internationally trained periodontist accepted into the Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program (Periodontics) at the University of British Columbia. He completed the program in 2024 and subsequently obtained his Canadian license to practice periodontology here in Canada.

He is currently based in Toronto, where his private practice is focused within the Greater Toronto Area, while regularly traveling to Vancouver to teach and contribute to the education of the next generation of periodontists. Clinically, he provides the full scope of periodontal care, with particular expertise in dental implant therapy, implant-related procedures, and periodontal plastic surgery.

Education is a core part of Dr. Torabi's professional identity. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at two top dental schools in Iran and now proudly acts as the Implant Coordinator for the Graduate Periodontics Program at the University of British Columbia, where he is actively involved in both didactic and hands-on training.

Dr. Torabi is licensed to practice in both Ontario and British Columbia and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals, the International Team for Implantology, the Ontario Dental Association, the Ontario Society of Periodontists, and the Iranian Ontario Dental Association.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his lovely wife, spending quality time with family and friends, and photography. He is also currently developing an educational YouTube channel focused on periodontology and implant dentistry.
